Who we share it with

We use service providers such as:

Firebase for authentication, database, storage, and app analytics
Google Analytics for optional website analytics
Apple for Apple sign-in
Google Maps and Google Places for maps and place search
Brevo for research-email delivery and opt-out suppression

Your public contributions, such as reviews or photos, may be visible to other users in the app.

Optional service research

We may use the email address connected to your account to invite you to occasional, genuine service research. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in improving the service and understanding whether it benefits families. Research invitations are not product promotions and do not affect your account.

We use Brevo to deliver research invitations and to honour unsubscribe requests. You can unsubscribe using the link in an invitation or reply “no more research”. We keep a minimal suppression record so that we do not contact you again for research.

The family-impact survey does not receive your email address, account ID, or name. Its answers are stored separately from the invitation list and reviewed in aggregate. Please do not include names, contact details, medical information, or other identifying details in written answers.

Analytics and campaign measurement

The app uses Firebase Analytics to collect aggregated information about app usage, such as app opens, screens viewed, pub listings viewed and interactions with venue links. The public website uses Google Analytics only when you allow optional analytics.

Publicity links may contain campaign labels such as source, medium, campaign, region or content type. These labels identify an outlet or campaign, not an individual visitor. When you follow an app-store link, the campaign label may also be sent to Apple or Google so that downloads can be reported in aggregate.

You can choose Only essential on the website analytics notice. Your choice is stored in your browser and can be cleared by deleting site data.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and contribution data for as long as needed to operate the app, investigate misuse, and maintain community content.

You can delete your account directly in the app from the Account screen. We may retain limited information where needed for legal, fraud, safety, or record-keeping reasons, and some public venue contributions may be retained in anonymised form to preserve venue information and community content.

Your choices

You can browse without creating an account.
You can refuse location access.
You can refuse optional website analytics.
You can unsubscribe from optional research invitations without affecting your account.
You can ask for access, correction, or deletion of personal data we hold about you.

Children and photos

Please do not upload photos that show identifiable faces, especially children.

Changes

We may update this policy as the app changes.
